Retired adventurer Viv decides to open the first ever coffee shop in a quiet town, but discovers the town has some dangers of its own.

I'll say it - I was BORED. Bored, friends. Was the story cute as hell? Yes, loved the concept. Were the characters intriguing? Yes, especially the dynamic Viv. Did the romance have potential? Yes, bite me off a piece of that. But the story? The story was so slow as to be almost non-existence. It needed a bit more action or intrigue (other than "when will the coffee maker arrive") in order to truly snag my interest. I can see the appeal for this story, and I know from Goodreads alone this book has a cult following. If you enjoy character-driven cozy mysteries, then this story is for you. Sadly, they just bore me to tears.
