Books
#1 Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Vol 1-5 by Mo Dao Zu Shi: When Wei Wuxian is resurrected thirteen years after his death, he teams up with an old friend, Lan Wanji, to solve a series of crimes with links to their past. The romance, the mystery, the relationships! I fell in love with this crew so hard.
#2 Wolfsong by TJ Klune: Ox Matheson’s life changes when a new family moves into an abandoned house near his home. This was truly a unique twist on shapeshifters. I loved the world, the found family, and the angsty as hell romance.
#3 Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros: When Violet Sorrengail enters herself to become a dragon rider to appease her military-minded mother, she slowly uncovers a deadly secret about the empire. I read this in two days during a reading slump. While I'm not a fan of the second book, this first book grabbed my attention and never let go.
#4 FantasticLand by Mike Bockoven: The employees at a Florida-based theme park go tribal after a landmark hurricane cuts the survivors off from civilization. The story is good, but the audiobook narration was phenomenal. Don't read it, listen to it.
#5 The Graham Effect by Elle Kennedy: Hockey star Gigi ends up falling for her nemesis in this adorable and steamy contemporary romance. The romance between Gigi and Ryder is *chef's kiss.*
Shows
#2 Perfect Marriage Revenge: When Han Yi Joo unexpectedly find herself traveling into the past after a tragic car accident, she decides to take revenge against the people that caused the accident. My god, the D-R-A-M-A of it all. Completely bat shit crazy pants obsessed with this show. And the romance is to die for.
#3 One Piece: Monkey D. Luffy begins his journey to become the Pirate King, picking up his crew along the way. It was a pitch perfect live action of a beloved manga.
#4 The Starry Love: Mortal twin sisters are each betrothed to the Heavenly and Void realm princes, but plans go awry when they are switched on their wedding day. Two sisters with two perfect boyfriends and loads of hijinks.
#5 Hidden Love: When Sang Zhi reconnects with her brother's best friend after beginning her undergraduate degree in a new city, her unrequited crush on him from her youth develops into something more. Queue the swoon, people, and be ready with the smelling salts. This one is as sweet as warm, gooey chocolate-chip cookies on a snowy day.
Fourth Wing has been mentioned on so many TTT posts this week!
ReplyDeleteHere is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Lydia
Happy New Year Lydia! I feel like people either love or hate Fourth Wing.
DeleteI still need to read TJ Klune. I've heard such great things about his books. I've also put THE FOURTH WING on hold at my library because it's on so many lists today. Happy 2024!

TJ Klune is so hit or miss for me! I either love his books or dislike them with a passion.
DeleteGrandmaster of Demonic Cultivation is one of my favorites as well!
ReplyDeleteYay, another fan! I am low key obsessed. I even got my husband to read the book and watch the show. He enjoyed it well enough, but he fell in love with the cultivation setting. He is now binging his 3rd cultivation series.
DeleteFOURTH WING has been VERY popular today! I bought a copy of the book even though it's really not my usual kind of thing. I've been having FOMO, though, so we'll see what I think.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I hope you enjoy Fourth Wing! It was a fun ride.
DeleteI just love seeing everyone's favorites! Seeing Wolfsong on your list makes my heart happy. I have so much love for Ox and all the others!
ReplyDeleteDaw, I love Ox too. I have the second in the series on my Kindle, but I have yet to read it. I actual struggle to move away from couples in series so I find spacing out my series reads to be best. I'm able to invest in the other romances if my memories of the first fades a bit.
DeleteFourth Wing is on all the lists this week. I'm glad you found so many great books and shows.
ReplyDeleteThanks, AJ!
