Um, excuse me, but I did not expect this book to completely and totally blow me out of the water?!?! Romy and Zander's tempestuous relationship provides maximum angst without creating unlikeable characters. Their insane enemies-to-lovers chemistry fuels the rather standard exposition heavy first book in this series. The worldbuilding blends together elven, vampire, and witch lore into something unique and sumptuous. While the climax is not surprising, I overall loved the entire experience. If you've enjoyed Sarah J. Mass' Throne of Glass series or Jennifer L. Armentrout's Blood and Ash series, you're bound to enjoy this foray into the genre too.
