Sugar Ray concocts a scheme to use popular hockey player Zack Morgan to be her fake boyfriend in order to get her into the law school of her dreams.
Sometimes I just thirst for an angsty and quick romance with lots of smut. Luckily for me, the Boyfriend Bargain was the perfect fit for my mood. The romance between Zack and Sugar was instant and spicy. Their individual character arcs gave a surprising amount of depth to the college-aged romance genre. The most lacking part of the story was the secondary characters as none of them captured my interest beyond their duty as friends to the main leads. I'm not interested in continuing the series, but I am glad to have given this a shot.
