Jesse uncovers the latest plot to harm her world when she travels to the Unseelie Court in this high-action conclusion to the Fae Games trilogy.

While I was incredibly excited to read this book after reading Knight last year, it was difficult for me to remember the characters and plot details after six months apart. It took me some time to immerse myself back into the story, but it did a decent job keeping me entertained with plenty of action and world-building. It was unique for a story to depict the Unseelie court without the monstrous or grotesque depiction typically found within these stories. The journey Jesse goes on to save her world and the Fae realm was exciting and fun, if a little tedious.

If I had one complaint, it would be the characters. While I liked them all, I never fell in love with them. Jesse always felt a bit shallow to me - little stood out to make her complex or unique from the typical "saver" of these stories. I enjoyed Lukas the most, but he is pushed aside through much of the story as the plot takes over. The rest of the characters we've met throughout the series take on such a cameo appearance as to make them non-essential in this last installment. While all the books in the series kept me pleasantly entertained, I doubt I will remember it or re-read it again.
